Why is the Verus less expensive to update to the new 9.2 software than the Modis and Solus Pro?

The way it was explained to me, if this is correct, the modis as long as you keep up with their updates is still only $895 if you let it laps, then is $1195.
Why do they list it on their web site for $1195 ? couldn't tell ya that one.
