    6.4 diesel and pass-threw pro

    I reprogramed a 2008 ford with the 6.4 diesel today the pcm & tcm programed
    fine. then the icm would not program. has anyone had issues with the pass-threw pro not working on the instument clusters the fmp program keept saying make sure ids is at latest calibration.

    I think it's because it's not an emission-related module. The J2534 programmer does not support nonemission-related modules on Fords.See the quote I copyed and pasted below from the Motorcraft web-site.



    Access to a list, arranged by vehicle, of the latest calibration information for emission-related modules.


    Protocols Used by Ford:

    Ford uses the following protocols when programming modules:
    Module Type Protocols
    Emission-related modules - ISO 15765 (CAN with built-in flow control)
    - J1850 PWM (SCP)
    Non-emission-related modules - ISO 9141
    - Ford MS-CAN
    - UBP

      thanks jeff, i don't think it's the passthru device now,today i re programed a 6.0 diesel and went into the instrument cluster just fine, all i could do is reset the hour meter and configure it to the other modules so it seemed to work. usually when the passthrew dont support a module i get a pop-up screen that say"s device don't support this module.
      if i find some more info ill let you know.
