So I've been playing with 7.2 for a couple of weeks now. Yes, I got a K25 and a K20 key (that key chain is getting heavy, eh?), and I've been enjoying the fact that the tool remember the last 25 jobs I've entered. That feature sure saves time when you are re-visiting a job to verify a fix, especially if you work in a busy shop where you will see on average 8 to 12 diagnostic jobs per day. My concern is this; my Modis will not remember any European jobs I do... only US Domestic and Asian! My employer also has a Modis with 7.2, and his remembers the European jobs just fine, only mine doesn't.
Does anyone have an idea as to why this is? Is there a setting that I need to change in order to correct this? Snappy doesn't seem to think a re-flash will fix this, but he's also not so computer hardware savvy as even I tend to be.
I've also noticed that selecting Generic Functions in order to view Freeze Frame data (I love the fact that you can do this without completely backing out to the main menu the way you had to before) sometimes doesn't work. The Modis may give me a message saying that no Freeze Frame data has been stored, but if I am persistent and do it 'the old fashioned way' backing out to the main menu and loading Global EOBD, I can invariably view the Freeze Frame data on the vehicle in question. A 7.2 glitch?
PC Link... I have it and used it with 5.4. At some point it started having problems maintaining a connection with the wireless network, so I temporarily shelved it until I could create some other type of setup. I haven't tried it with 7.2, but having since purchased a new notebook computer I will have to re-install it to see how it works *wish me luck*.
