    activation status help!!

    hi all,

    i`ve been offered a verus pro that im a thinking of buying but theres some thing strange....

    the P/N number on the rear of unit & case: P/N: VERUSPRODEMO ???

    1st i went through the settings and got into activation status and in help -
    states module infomation:
    for all modules in there that is currunlty has
    trial 40days left??

    activation status : factory new mode
    license status: licence valid
    description ; bundle 13.2
    licenced for version: 2.5**
    market GB

    i called my local snap on dealer and he had never heard of this before and im ment to be meeting him monday but im like a kid in a sweet shop and dont want to wait till monday to get the all clear to buy it.
    i already have the solus pro and been waiting a life time for a verus pro to come up semi-cheap.

    Demo units are generally not for sale, especially while they are still available new. It is unlikely that that scanner was purchased legitimately. I'm not familiar with the software licensing on that unit, so hopefully someone else will chime in. When the software expires it will become inoperable. I'd call Tech Support for an answer on Monday if someone doesn't chime in by then.

      is there any way of finding out if it is legitimate??
      numbers on it were:
      p/n: VERUSPRODEMO
      s/n: DMA000159482

              Can you provide the serial number from the bar code label on the unit? It is needed to identify it.
              The label should be on the bottom edge of the unit near the right side. It is about 12 x 44 mm in size with a barcode and S/N number.
              It will have a number like 323DDG111111.

              It is always a good idea to contact Tech Support as Joe suggested.
