    PassThruProII USB error

I am using a snap-on verus with a snap-on pass thru pro II

The PTP2 is powered via ODB2 and is connected via USB to the Verus

When connecting, the device device manager shows an error.
-Plug n' play drivers for the PTP2 are installed, but error out.
-connected a USB cd drive and loaded the drivers from the PTP2 install disk and those error.
-Downloaded "current" drivers from snap-on site with the same result.

    every time getting this error:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. the driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I have switched usb ports, rebooted the system, tried a different USB A to B cable, different cars, etc.

The verus says its software is up to date, Java is up to date, etc.

Finally I tried a laptop(win vista/7), which allowed the PTP2 to install and run like it should.

I was told the verus should be able to run PTP2. I know some people think its a waste to use this tool to flash, but that is the best configuration we have at the moment, so the solution of just go with the laptop instead is not optimal.

    Has anyone encountered this problem?

I haven't had any trouble but I know there are specific files on the snap-on site just for a verus to run the PTP. Although I always use my laptop for re-flashes and tech2win and gds2.

Try uninstalling the Toolbox and drivers and try reinstalling.
