    USB keyboard and VP 7.4

I purchased a used VP 7.4 about 2 months ago. So far I've had only time to use it for some ignition diagnosis, and am now beginning to study the manual etc.

Although I don't need to type in the shop name stuff, I thought I would try it. I plugged in a USB keyboard and nuthin' would happen when I typed. I tried turning off the VP, plugging in the keyboard, and rebooting. That worked!

I then plugged in the USB to a Win XP laptop that was running, and the keyboard works perfectly..

    QUESTION:
Does the VP or VP 7.4 require a reboot to use a keyboard?

    Thanks

Quite often you need to do it a couple of times for the driver to recognise it. If that doesn't work, try starting the VP with the keyboard hooked up before you start it. Has always worked for me.

Which connection did you use on the VP for that keyboard function? The large or small usb connection?

        Usb Ports

The Big Usb Port Is For Connecting To A Keyboard; The Small Is Used For Connect To Pc.
