Default Pass thru pro 3 quick question

Hey guys just quickly wondering can the pass thru pro 3 program keys? If yes or no is that manufacturer dependent? Just picked one up and still trying to learn it.

Yes, Ford and GM and maybe others but you will need to purchase a subscription. You also might need a LSID (locksmiths license) for some manufacturers. http://productforum.autorepairdata.c...ad.php?t=12812

By itself the Pass Through Pro is basically mainly a hardware interface go between device that doesn't have the software within it to program any keys , kinda like a oil funnel doesn't have oil in it to fill your crankcase , but something you just need one in between to make it happen

My guess is if it weren't for the Port Freight 08s and Lunch boxes the Snappy platforms would still have cables and personality keys and we would be captive to pay for an OE manufacturer sub or buy the OE tool just to retrieve a keyless entry door pad code for a 15 year old Furd.
I believe the OE manufacturers and tool companies right now are hard at work thinking up new Funk Fasteners and must have special needs tools for Short Bus Technicians to have to buy.
