Version 17.2 Breaks Ford ISO 9141 Access

Today I could not communicate with the ABS and SRS modules
on a 2007 Ford E-350 van. Checking the network, I found I
had 10 volts on the ISO line, but it never toggled low when
the scan tool tried to communicate with these modules.

Tried an older Verus with 16.4, and talked fine. This
affected 2 Solus Edge's and a Verus Pro that were updated to
17.2. None would talk to the ISO network on pin 7 of the
DLC.

Why all Snappy with the same version software ? Could diversify with some other makes of scan tools

ISO Communications

For what it is worth I just tried mine on a 2006 F150 which I believe uses ISO 9141 for SRS and Parking Aid and was able to communicate properly with the SRS but there was no Parking Aid on this vehicle. The ABS on the F150 uses CAN buss communication.

ISO No Talk

Yes, if it is on the CAN bus it will talk to it. Have a 2008 Ford van in the shop now with ABS light on, ISO communication only, and no communication with the 17.2 Solus. Works fine with 16.4.

As for other scan tools, we have IDS, Tech2, GDS2, WiTech, iScan and many medium truck tools.

I was more worried that a shop that does not have factory tools or another make scan tool would go down the rabbit hole looking for a no communication problem that doesn't exist.

No updates yet from Snappy. They did respond to my email information but that's all so far.
