COPY and FLASH

I recently replaced a BCM in an 08 Pontiac G6. I noticed a function called Copy and Flash in the tech2win BCM setup menu. What is this ? Does this replace the manual Options, VIN and Odometer entry method ? Does it work with Tech2Win or just with a Tech2 ? I wasn't one to be pushing buttons I wasn't sure of with this one. On another note, I've been using Tech2Win and GM flashing with windows 8 and the new PassThru III with out any issues.

Or you could go out and get the new GM MDI 2? Looks rougher for some reason. Lol
