    Get the known good before you find the known bad

    Hi guys

    to get more proficient on using your lab scope hook your scope up to a known good vehicle and capture some good waveforms that way when you have a known bad vehicle you will be more familiar and what looks good and what looks bad try to build up a waveform library if you can doing this will go a long way in helping you with your lab scope Diagnostics

    Most definitely! This has helped me more times than I care to count.
    Also the more accompanying information you can give like what you are working on and what is going on when the capture was taken make it infinitely more valuable. This should be done with scanner movies also.

      Old friend and incredible trainer Jim Morton preached it in every class he's ever taught. Get captures of of the good before you go looking at the bad. If you don't know how it looks when it's working right , how will you know what bad looks like when there is a problem?
