I would say "No". Scanner don't read Strategy, that I've ever seen.
Scanners can:
Read/Clear Codes
Display Data
Perform some Bi-Directional Controls
Some have some built-in Troubleshooting help

On the ford 6.0 diesels you can use obd direct, click on mode $9 read vehicle identification. at the bottom of the screen it will read pcm cal #. not all of the strategy number will be their but the first 5 will and thats what you need. most of the 2003 and early 2004 will show nothing. late 2004 to 2007 will have a number like vxcf9#####. vxcf9 is the lastest strategy number, a number like vxcf5#### would be an older strategy. hope that makes senseComment

well yes and no joe, the calibration number is used by all the aftermarket companys like edge-superchips-sct to write a custom program or chip for the 6.0"s so they ask for your strategy number witch is the cal id. It has kinda become a slang term in the 6.0 diesel world. when we write a custom program we have to use a template in the software that has all the right files and running programs for that pcm calibration. If a truck has a calibration number like vxcf59nb.hex I know to use the template #vxcf5. If i open that pcm file and use a vxcf3 template some of the files and programs wont show -up or i cant change the program because the template is wrong. whenever ford changes a pcm/tcm calibration a differant template is needed to write custom tune"s. im guessing thats what jonesy was needing to know.Comment

By looking at what you posted I am sure I was in the wrong place.
I want to think you for the help. It took me a bit to find out
how to get the images out of the scanner. I had read some where
that JPG is the better format for posting so I did a bit of edit and
here you go.
Thanks again
