And in OBDII-speak the name of the tool is "incomplete diagnostics"?
Brilliant! Another win for the marketing department.

    Is it a repackaged Ethos?

It is Ethos Edge Hardware and software with motorcycle software on it.

May well be a viable product. I've known a few bike mechanics that won't even touch a car, so there may well be a market for a bike-focused scanner.

The name is STILL hilariously bad though.

Kinda thought there was a short lived Pontiac version of the Chevrolet Chevette around the time Hollywood released the movie Robocop with the top of the line future model offering of the 6000SUX. Pontiac never lasted that far into the future though.

The Pontiac is actually a T1000. One of my neighbors actually has one of those and drives what's left of it.

And of course there's that other T1000.

              Didn't Pontiac have a 1000, 3000 and 6000? LOL

It's always good to laugh. I remember when Toyota first started putting "TRD" on the back of some of their vehicles and engine covers and wondered , "What the h@ll were they thinking?" Hmmm I think it was about the time the Techstream came out.

I thought that was just me that mentally inserted the missing vowel every time I saw "TRD" on a truck.

I question P1000 as a name because it's an error return code EVERYBODY in the shop knows. When they they see it or P0300 or P0700 thay all know what those codes refer to off the top of their heads.

So every time one of such a guy pulls out his new motorcyle scanner---incomplete diagnosis.

looking at the video and reading a little, i have some questions..

I know that my scan tool ( solus ultra ) has the motorcycle sw in it already, but cannot access by normal means. will this be unlocked for a fee later in the next update?

speaking of the next update, i saw 19.2 on the P1000. any news about that?

it says it can do cars too?? is this just generic, or full capabilities already in the current snap on scan tool line?

They want you to know your buying a "TURD" up front.

There is information on it on this site.
Just select Diagnostic platforms up near the top left of the screen.

yes, I read the obvious material. but it didn't answer my questions I had. that is why I asked them. But maybe i got my answer already... sooo i will wait and see but not going to purchase this though.

Thought they had unlocked Harley Davidson software, but you need to buy some super pricey $700 adapter to be able to connect. The whole motorcycle club can chip in to buy one loaner adapter for the club
So Guy with a Rice Rocket asked me What's the difference between a Harley and a Hoover?...

yeah Harley is released..never used it since I dont own a Harley. and yeah, that is one expensive adapter, I wonder if there is anything of actual electronics inside, Like a pin switching multiplexing device, or if its just pins , plastic connector, rubber, and wires?
