As MadMatt stated, it is not just scanner software, but vehicle dependent as well. If the car you are working on and the software in your scanner support EVAP testing, then it will be in the "Functional Test" section.S. BrelandComment

Energizing the NVLD opens the valve. The PCM does that so when the system is purging the valve doesn't create any vacuum. LDP, NVLD and ESIM systems found on all Chrysler products have no vent valves to close. They must be sealed mechanically.
