    01 blazer code 1345

    vehical ran like ****....needed injectors;replaced injectors also added summit distributor.car runs perfect except fopr code 1345. crank/cam sensor correlation.tried old distributor---same problem. have not relearned with modis yet..could this be the cause of this code...any help please

    You need to set the CMP Offset. It should be 0 degrees +/- 1 degree. The number only updates at RPMs over 1500, so each time you turn the distributor you're going to have to hit the throttle once to see it change.

        Look on your scan tool and look for PID CMP Offset or CMP Retard as Joe said it should be 0 +or- 1 degrees. Loosen the distributor if not in spec, turn it slightly and snap the throttle (must go over 1500 RPM). When the idle is stable look and the PID again and adjust again as needed.

            can only turn distributer so far .started at minus 12 degrees.got down to minus 8 degrees. dist wont turn anymore.if i move dist a tooth im assuming it will be way off is this correct?can i notch out dist hold down to meet spec. agin vehical runs perfect. just got lite.. nitemare for me

              You are right about your choices. Before you go too crazy though, check to see if the dist gear is worn. It happens.
