GM ABS sensors wrong in the component tests

Had an 07 Pontiac G6 (vin 1G2ZH58N474189630) today with C0040 code, right front speed sensor circuit. The Component test in my Verus states that this is a permanent magnet sensor. My test I think shows that this a magnetoresistive sensor that uses a 12volt supply and produces a square wave.

i've had the same thing happen on a few cars now (wish i could remember which ones)...it sucks when you have to double check the info in the component tests.

      wheel speed sensor test

Thanks for info Bob! We are finding SI2000 incorrectly labels in description & operation a AC type sensor while DTC diagnostic says digital. We are in process of fixing this for 14.4.
      Thanks
      Brett

        Wrong Data

I think if the data is wrong from Snap On it should be updated at no charge. NOT when I have to pay for the more mistakes in !4.. whatever comes up. Come on Snappy. Why do you deal this way with customers that buy your equipment. Maybe you should hire some Chinese to get the job done...Just saying. Keep Smiling
