I asked the SO rep who was training my new guy last week and he was not aware that A-A-T was available to Shop-Key subscribers although it could be like my tech rep who occasionally complains that SO keeps him in the dark on some stuff. Be interesting to find out the truth as one day I'll need to make that decision of which subscription to get, the hyperlinks on Verus is a plus point though!

honestly, i very rarely look at the aat site. the first time i tried it was with the 6 month free trial for upgrading software. at that time it was horribly difficult to read the awful help requests. however, the last couple of visits have proven interesting. i'm seeing quite a few names like orevin and shotton offering quality help, so i can only assume it's getting better.
my employer graciously gives us as much online info we can handle. we've got both alldata and shopkey. my opinion is very similiar to others in that i like alldata better, but prefer mitchell's simplified wire diagrams (sans the occasional mistakes ).Comment

Yea, well how many people are likely to be checking a crank sensor when the car is already running? Whatever. Again I hope that Snap On sees this and corrects it or gives some kind of response if they have a reason for it being at 50V & only 20ms, I'm done discussing it for one.
I am a premium member of iATN and that has served me pretty well up to now and is a good value. AskATech & Shopkey are more than I want to spend at this time...Although not having used AskATech I should hold judgement untill afterwards so I am looking forward to the 6 months free offer.
Thanks for your comments.
I will be looking into 50V & 20ms issue today and will get back to you either tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks

Jaguar CKP scope settings have been fixed.
I got together with the Jaguar file manager and Jaguar CKP scope settings have been fixed. Thanks for pointing this out. Dynodave
Dynodave,
I took a moment and quickly looked over your replies and I was not really looking for information on how to set up my scope since I had several good waveforms for the same sensor from previous repairs. I was attempting to get Snap On to see and correct an error since I mentioned it at least a year ago and thought it should have been corrected by now.
Since I just purchased the Verus Pro with 12.4 I figured I'd check to see if it had been corrected and I see it has NOT been. If you go into Component Testing for a 2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 and select CKP sensor-Signature Test it sets the scope up to a 20ms sweep and a 50V scale. Now the sweep someone might argue as acceptable under certain circumstances but 50V? In the same vehicle when selecting a CMP sensor-Signature Test it is set more realistically at 10V and 200ms, which is what sweep I am able to view a nice pattern of a CKP sensor that I recorded in the past.
My concern is that I am apt to depend on other scope settings made by Component Test that could send me (or others) on a diagnostic wild goose chase. Time is money!
I will receive 6 months free "AskATech" with my new purchase so I'll see how that works.
Thanks for your time and assistance just the same.Comment
