    vantage pro won't power off

I have an issue with my VantagePro that won't power off when asked to. This mainly happened after I removed the cf card whilst powered up (didn't realise you weren't meant to do so) but occasionally it does.

I have to remove battery to switch unit off. Any ideas please.

    Thanks

Tried that as well. 99% it wont power off and i'm lucky if it does without removing battery. If i leave out CF card and battery for a few hours it will power down after the initial 1st power up but if i use it again later it wont

Never take a CF card out with the unit powered up. Sounds like it needs to go out for repairs. I myself would probably remove the battery and take unit apart myself to see if a contact switch broke or walked out of position from under the power button

Do you have a Dealer? Have him do a software reinstallation on the card. If not, it is going in for repair. As always, you might want to try calling tech support. there may be a way to fix it yourself.
