    MT2500 Rebuild

Just started working on a page cleaning up an MT2500 I picked up. Lots of pictures of the inside, hope it helps anyone that might need info how to take apart and reassemble the unit.

Here is the link to my site

Thanks for the post Sandy, I'm sure my old MT 2500 could use a good cleaning and a new LCD display. What would be really great is if someone actually snapped in a modern tablet board with a large LCD screen that pulls out, USB ports, Internet access and a twin 1TB SSDs inside where the cartridges once resided that contain about 25 different makes of OE scanner software , but still had fast track trouble shooter in the menu.

Yeah, but I think Snap On makes that model already

        Been there, done that.

I've had my MT2500 apart a few times. The LCD screen was acting up. Turned out the problem was the ribbon cables weren't making good connection at their sockets. Easily fixed with some electrical contact cleaner. Getting grease or oil onto the Y/N button contacts will also cause problems. Cleaning the contact surfaces will fix it nearly every time.
