    Mazda 626 obd1 connector

    Hi
Do I need a personality key with my Verus Wireless 16,4 and this Mazda 626 from 2000?
It has the 17 pin OBD1 connector in the engine bey only.

I have a punch of S-keys but not the K16, K17 or K19 - that i understand is needed for the Mazda? Am I right?

I also wonder - where Im supposed to connect the personality key holder and the adapters, into? Is there something missing or are those for older modell Verus?

    Thanks!

OBD1 will require adapter, not keys.

you will need a DA-5 cable, it connects to the VCI instead of the DA-4 (OBDII) cable and has the correct connector for the OBDI adapters on the other end.

            I use the EAA0355L93A adapter

I have the Verus and use the DA5 short adapter EAA0355L93A in place of the long DA5 cable. It plugs into the 16 pin end of the DA4 cable and has the correct OBD1 adapter pin connection on other end.

Good morning, uually if you use that type of connector it has to have a separate power in,to the connector, which is why it has a plug socket on the side, also you can read the codes through the flash codes of the mil lamp by jumping the pins in the daignostic socket under the bonnet.

That was news to me. Thanks dearest.
I have read the codes by flashing. And would like to be able to use Verus too =) Just for the fun of it.
