    Found it

    I finally found the problem, It is to do with the servo/ servo valve. I have taken the pipe and valve out of the servo, and the car runs perfect. I will change the valve now and see how we get on. the engine sounds lovely.

      So do you know of what this servo's function is and what it is called ? Maybe a picture of the engine and it's location on the engine .

        Sorry, I did not explain it very well, it is the brake servo valve, the vacuum builds up and it was letting the vacuum go, causing havoc in the inlet manifold.

        sending all the fuel trims all over the place.
