    "Hardware Initialization Warning"

I realize this has been posted before here: http://productforum.autorepairdata.c...ead.php?t=8966

But, I tried the answers there and had no luck. Figured I'd ask and see if anyone has any ideas.

when launching ShopStream I get the message:

    Hardware Initialization Warning

The application has detected that the hardware is not fully initialized.

    Please re-launch the application.

If the problem persists, please reboot your device and then re-launch the application.

    The application will now exit.

So far, not much luck with Snap-On support, but I'll keep waiting to hear back from them. I ran SNORE.exe to reinstall. I installed the cp2103 usb to uart bridge driver, even though, at the moment there are no missing drivers for any device in device manager. From this page:

I ran the USBExpress_Reset_V2_0.exe and the HardwareInit_V_1_4.exe and had no luck. I've tried a full reinstall.

Does Shop Stream Connect somehow give you heads up of a hardware problem before it becomes a wheel chock? Could you clone the hard drive and install a new SSD and memory?
Got a feeling this guy has something wrong Hardware wise with his Verus too.If I had my Old working Port Freight 08 to trade Even Steven I might take a chance

      Thanks for the reply.

No heads up. The ShopStream splash screen comes up and the progress bar loads less than a quarter of the way then the message comes up and it won't go further.

A little history. This is after cloning to an SSD and reinstalling. The original drive works well enough to start up ShopStream and it works fine then, so the system's hardware seems good. So, pretty sure this is a software problem.

ShopStream Connect is a free PC based application for viewing, printing and managing data files from the tools on a PC.

The application on Verus platforms is called ShopStream Diagnostic Suite and is completely different than the SSC PC application.

Hardware Initialization usually is the EZ Scope driver has been uninstalled or is missing. Try to delete the scope driver and reinstall the scope driver again in the Device Manager and reboot the VERUS. Under the Device Manager listed under *OTHER* you might see an UNKNOWN listing (or two). That may be the scope hardware that the driver needs to be reinstalled on.

Please look at the beginning of the video and you will see where the drivers folder is located in Windows XP. https://youtu.be/6rzdzN8GW4g?t=6m10s

Don't mind that this video is about Windows 7. Doing it under Windows XP should be similar. https://youtu.be/6rzdzN8GW4g?t=41m38s
