Snapon Verus EEMS325 Stuck on re-image loading

    Good Day,
I have a Snap on Versus EEMS325 with update 17.2 and win XP.. I turned the unit on last week and it came up with the message "Press ALT" to re-image. So I turn off the unit, power back on while holding the ALT key and it starts to load image then has the "Please Waite" bar that never moves or does anything. it simply sticks on please wait for ever... Have tried to repeat this many many times and it always sticks at "please wait"

I have tried to contact my rep and also the support team. They tell me the unit is obsolete and they don't offer any support. Any ideas?
    Thank you in advance..
    Thank You
    Dennis

How long have you let it sit with it trying to reimage? Just let it sit overnight and see if it goes through.

It has been my experience with one or two older Snap On scanners that they can be astoundingly slow when it comes to certain activities. I would think nothing of letting it be for 12 to 24 hours and see if it accomplishes something.

Is it even 'healthy' for a scanner to be on for 24 hours? That sounds very odd.

They're essentially computers. Many computers run constantly. We have three office PC's at work that have only been shutdown for maintenance, repair, or during power outages for the last ten years or so. For example. I only shut shown my work laptop on weekends, another example.
