    Smart Smoke Issue

I purchased a Smart Smoke on EBay a couple of weeks ago, sadly it was missing the car battery connectors so I had to wait to test it. Well, the connector came in today, ordered from Snap On, and bupkis, no smoke!

I selected air, poured a whole bottle of fluid, have good power, and good air pressure. All of the LED lights work but the numbers remain on zero.

Calling tech support tomorrow buy my gut says it's defective.

    Thoughts?

Those things are generally pretty tough. Call the tech support number on the back of the EVAP machine. If it can be field repaired, they can help you figure it out and get you the parts. They are great about that.
If not, it'll have to go in for repair.

      Tech Support

I contacted the support number on the back and after several tests, it looks like a defective valve of some kind, it's always good to get a second opinion.
Just started the EBay return process....UGH!

      Thanks,

        Sorry that didn't work out.

Hopefully the return process is smooth.

          Shame

Sadly the return process is not going well. The seller was supposed to be checking with his Snap On Rep regarding warranty but no word. I emailed him yesterday for a address for return shipping and so far nothing.

Even if the machine is under warranty, I can't send it in because I purchased it second hand, what a mess this has turned into.

I have to wait till the 13th to get EBay involved. Evidently the seller isn't familiar with Ebay's 100% money back guarantee, which works it just takes a month to get money returned.

            Finally!

Refund in PayPal account, minus the return shipping I have to eat, what a terrible ordeal.

I guess he finally decided to play ball after the Bay removed all of the items he had for sale.
