    VERUS splitscreen question.

    Hi,

My dealer came by and was proud to show off his Verus. I asked him to show me the split screen stuff and he admitted that while he saw it in Las Vegas he wasn't shown personally how to do it.

I fiddled with it for about five minutes.

Does anyone know how to run the scope and the scanner side by side on the same screen? I realize you can run both at the same time and switch between the two -- but how can you view _both_ things at the exact same time?

I assume you do it by resizing the windows so you can fit both onscreen at the same time. Don't take my word for it though, I haven't gotten a chance to use one. I'm attaching a screenshot of how I think you can do it.

I tried that. He's the problem: It all runs in the same application window -- when you choose the different functions (lab scope, scanner) it all happens in the same window.

Looking at the screen shots I've seen of "split screen" it looks more like someone is running a _second_ program, like a file viewer or something. I tried running the VERUS application a second time -- it doesn't start up.

Maybe someone in the know can shed some light on this.

          Yes, I saw that picture.

Could you be more specific on how to do it? I don't have the VERUS here now. I couldn't figure out how to get a window to pop out, independent of the main application window, for me to manipulate.

Very simple process for split screen. With Scanner running select either Component Test meter or scope then resize the meter/scope window and minimize. Go back into the scanner window which was still running and bring your scope/meter window up from the lower minimized taskbar. Note: All six upper icons on the main application can be run simultaneously and in seperate windows.

You can run a second monitor, but by doing this you will not be able use the touch screen on that monitor. You will need a USB mouse and you can move screens from one to another, and then you can have everything in large form. you can still use the touch on the verus its self but if you want to do anything on the other screen you'll need the mouse.

I hope this helps you. let me know if you need any help.
