    Keep clock running

The following is regarding both my Solus Pro and Vantage Pro, so I will post in both of those forums.

I have a Vantage Pro and a Solus Pro. (These are used at home, so are not used often).

Two things I would like to be able to do (in order of importance):

    1. Make an adapter (preferably using a 9V battery rather than 12V) that would plug into the 12V socket so I can keep the date/time clock running while the main battery is removed and being charged.

    2. Because I don't use the tools for many months at a time I would like to be able to remove the batteries so there is no chance of them failing and leaking into the tools while they sit. However, again, I would like to keep the date/time clocks running which I don't think would use much power.

I am NOT trying to power on either unit with this plan... just trying to keep the clocks running.

Is there any reason you think I shouldn't try this, or you think this won't work?

    Thank you for your help.
