You must be joking right. The V1 is the only one with an integrated scope module...and also works with the wireless module....so this is a win win...the differences from all versions have not been that great .....

Half of new would probably be the maximum I would pay for a unit in excellent condition - it would go down from there. I would perhaps be willing to pay a GOOD Snap On dealer a little more than an individual
for any added support he may provide.

Paid 2000 for a gen 1, 11.4 software, us/jap/euro, and all the goodies.
          Happy as can be.

If it has personality keys, its a Gen 1, unless theyre the Mercedes? keys. I believe I have one cable that takes a key for somethign euro... I forget what

Would it be worth around the £3000 mark?

If you convert the British Pound to US Dollars some of the other guys would have a better reference point. It also depends on what they sell for NEW "across the pond"...

The Gen 1 (Verus Classic) has only 1 USB port on top.

The Gen 2 (Verus Wireless) has 2 USB ports on top.

The Gen 3 Verus (D-10) has 2 USB ports on the side.

As far as Software version goes, click on the "menu" icon on the bottom to see what version you have:

You mean (Verus Classic) is the only one with an integrated scanner module, right?

                        Gruss,

At any rate, Verus Classic is more flexible. You can scan wirelessly if you have an S-3 wireless scanner module and still be able to scan with a cable (using keys) by merely pairing with one or the other (scanner modules) internal or external.

The Verus classic has less processing speed and RAM. The RAM can be upgraded with a large amount of labor, hardly worth it.

If you did upgrade the RAM, an SSD would speed up performance a lot (if you wanted it).

I have a Verus Classic, it is stock and speed is not an issue.

I would say you got a great deal.

                        Bob

Thanks for your input, regarding speed how fast is it compared with for example the vantage pro? I currently use a texa navigator which is laptop based. Once connected to the car and module it's fine, but if I want to go from the engine ECU to the BCM it takes ages!

No, I mean all Verus incarnations compared to each other. I wouldn't compare a Verus to a Vantage Pro since it is not a PC.

                            Verus 1: 512mb RAM .667 GHZ processor
                            Verus 2: 1GB RAM 1.33 GHZ processor
                            Verus 3: 2GB RAM 1.60 GHZ processor

Bob that's a good point... I have some more questions...

How big is the harddrive and could other programmes be loaded onto it... For example autodata that is very popular here in the uk. I think the programme is approx 1.5gb in size
