    ford crash data reset

Hi, I have a solus ultra and can't see how to reset the crash data on a car I'm working on, the car is a 2010 ford mondeo, uk spec,is there a procedure to clear the data, i.e. do I need to go through each module in the car in a particular order to clear the data or can the solus not do this?
All the live data looks fine with no faults stored except the crash data which won't clear.
I have reset a focus not long ago but can't see what I'm doing wrong, I also have the airbag module that came with the airbag kit that I fitted but i believe it has vin number etc stored from the donor car, any help would be very much appreciated!
    Gary.

I'm thinking like blanking out and resetting odometer mileage on clusters, you can't just clear certain crash data with a Solus. Law enforcement, car companies , and insurance companies don't want to make things easy to erase and wants certain things done at dealer level and documented in a database .

Not sure about the UK but over here only minor crash data (only the seat belt pretensioners have deployed) can be reset by clearing codes and this can only be done once per module. As far as the used module, it will have to be flashed to vehicle it is being installed into.

Yeah I was thinking that about the used module, I know the focus module can be reset with the solus but it doesn't look like the mondeo is the same, I'll have to contact a dealer, hate the thought of having to as they only want to screw money out of you but has to be done sometimes...
        Thanks anyway folks

Over here crash data can't typically be cleared there are companies who can do it, ie "dumping it". Or you can replace the module altogether. It's been hit and miss on which makes/models store it and which ones don't.

I had a look at the '08 focus I currently drive and it allows me to clear crash data in special functions, on screen says crash data can be cleared up to 5 times before the module needs replacing, doesn't give me the option in the mondeo rcm, have sent it off to a specialist get the data removed.

Wow, good to know one ford had that option. Most cars won't let u erase crash data. I had to buy one of them Chinese tools which can extract the SRS dump and then a program to clear the crash data. I had a 07 Escalade with this problem and had to buy the module then program it with my SO tool and the GM program together. Unless u had a Tech 2, then I wouldn't have needed both tools. Either way, good to know.
