I seriously doubt it. What are they going to replace it with...the Verus? I can't picture non-PC savvy guys switching. Snap-on kept the 2500 for 18 years. I just don't see it happening, but these rumors have been circulating ever since the Verus was announced.

let it go, the verus is 10 times more user freindly , all the info right at your finger tips without changing screens and who misses that dang thumb button .Comment

The stylus, I don't think, is all that user friendly. I don't like having to target small items on the screen (see: stop/play/record buttons in scope/meter). I find keeping track of the stylus, also, to be a bit of an issue. Touch screen, albiet the way of the future it seems, is a bit over rated in my opinion.
I like the one handed thumb operation of the Solus/Solus Pro/Vantage/Vantage Pro/Modis. The Modis, in my opinion, is faster to set up for the scope -- faster to play with settings, faster to review paused data, faster to produce screen shots. The Vantage Pro is even faster.
I'm talking about mechanical speed -- user interface -- not the possibility of increased speed from having more information at the fender or things like that.
That's just me.Comment

I use my bosses Modis and I can't stand it. I do not think it is that user freindly. It is hard to move around from car to car, the screen is to small for the lab scope. And you can not get your test info on the same screen. If the modis went away in a few years I would not be surprized. The Veruse is a GREAT TOOL. And will only get better over time.

I seriously doubt it too. The Sun diagnostics has just started selling Modis second generation. They still do not sell Verus. The software is not released for Verus either. The Verus is useless for Europe for now. The Modis is the only modular diagnostic tool in Europe for now.Comment
