We have an ODIS subscription that we use with a Snap-On pass thru pro 2. It's for diagnostics AND programming. The yearly subscription will cover both diag and programming.

Getting a subscription is kind of a pain in the butt. There's applications, application fees, more paperwork, etc etc etc. If I remember right, you also MUST have an LSID to get an ODIS subscription.

All the info you need should be on VW's techinfo site :

Honestly, unless you see a lot of VW's and think you will use the system a lot in the next year, it's probably not worth getting a subscription just to do one car. We get a lot of VW's here, so for us it's worth it.

Are you flashing the module or coding it? If you are coding it this can be done with expert mode on the scanner. No interface or Sub needed.

The airbag module should only need coding, not flashing.

Steve is right, you can do this with VW "expert mode" on your scanner.

Look up TSB 69-08-04 ... it contains the "color code" chart for coding airbag modules and explains the process.

Damn , for some reason I keep doing a double take on the name Bestdamgarage as reading Bestdamage for the want of an "n".
