    Suzuki forenza distributor code ?

    Put a used trans in an 2008 suzuki forenza and it needs a flash to get going. I purchased the software from suzuki and its asking for a distibutor code and not sure what they want in this field. It will not let me go any futher. little to no support from suzuki on this matter. If anyone can tell me what this is that would be awesome. thanks

    SEPS DOWNLOAD FROM PITSTOP PLUS TO COMPUTER
    Note: Some of the Downloaded files will require WinZip for file extraction; Check your computer for
    WinZip software
    1. Create a new folder on your desk top and name it SEPS
    Note: if you already have a SEPS folder on your desk top, delete the contents
    2. Copy Serial Number
    a. Go to Pitstop Plus, OBD-OBDII Diagnostics, Suzuki ECU Programming System SEPS
    b. Click VIEW on Dealer/User Registration Materials
    c. COPY (ctrl C) serial number (which will be pasted in some of the following steps)
    3. Download Suzuki Pass-Thru Programming Software
    a. Go to Pitstop Plus, OBD-OBDII Diagnostics
    b. Click Suzuki ECU Programming System (SEPS)
    c. Click DOWNLOAD Button for “Suzuki Pass-Thru Programming Ver. X.X.X.X” Software
    d. SAVE (do not click on run) to SEPS folder (you may get a message box asking if you want to
    erase and replace existing files, click YES)
    e. Click CLOSE
    4. Download Data Base Calibration Files
    a. Click DOWNLOAD Button for “Database Calibration Version X.XX.X” files
    b. SAVE (do not click on run) to SEPS folder
    c. Click CLOSE
    5. Download SDT J2534 USB Driver Installer
    a. Click DOWNLOAD
    b. Click RUN
    c. Click RUN (you may get a message box asking if you want to erase and replace existing files,
    click YES)
    d. Next
    e. Install
    f. Click FINISH
    6. Install software in your PC or laptop
    a. Open SEPS folder on your desktop
    b. Open Software file
    c. Click on the following:
    1). Run
    2). Yes
    3). Next
    4). Paste serial number into space provided (cntrl V)
    5). Finish
    7. Install data base calibration files in your PC or laptop
    a. Open Data Base (you will see 6 folders and WinZip Wizard)
    1). Next
    2). Next
    3). Unzip Now
    4). Yes (multiple time if requested)
    b. Open each folder in order (1-8) and click on the following:
    1). Yes
    2). Next
    3). Paste serial number in space provided (cntrl V)
    4). Next
    5). Next
    6). Finish
    8. Notice the Unzip Operation is Complete message box: click close
    The new program is now in your computer and ready to be installed in the v

      I don't think they are looking for a number entered from an Ignition Distributor or DIS. Think a Distributor code meaning for a plant in city of Japan, USA, or elsewhere the vehicle originated? You would think a VIN entered would be decoded, and then be asked , "Is this correct?"
