    Vw touareg 2015 regeneration

Good day . I have just purchased a modis ultra and was wondering is it positive to perform a forced regeneration on my 2015 touareg. Sorry I come from a trucking background with Cummins so not too clued up on cars. As I understand vw restricts access to perform forced regeneration on the euro 6 product so I just wanted to now from the specialists what the process is with the modis ultra. I'm used to dealer level tools and have knowledge on regenerations and cautions I need to have

    Thanks

hello, im not 100 % positive, but i do believe you are correct that you cant force a regen... from my experience most modern euro diesels, you are unable to force and regen.. they are supposed to do it themselves during certain driving conditions.

It's just a bit of a pain as you can't do repairs yourself anymore.

dont feel bad, the dealer cant do this work either..

question.. is there a problem with your vehicle?? or just curious about maintenance items?

I do a lot of driving in London so I know its not very good for the dpf. The thing I'm worried on our is incomplete regens. Due to short drives which mite not let the regen complete. So yes a bit of both

Hi good morning,I wuld say that is a lot of your problem the fact you are only travelling short journeys, the dpf hs to get to a temperature of at least 650* c before the regeneration is allowed to take place, and the pcm looks at various inputs which is an enabling factor to carry out the regen.

Very true. I'm just worried if my modis ultra would get me out of trouble when needed
