What operating system are you running?

    Parker,

If you are using Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 bit it will not install correctly.

A new version of SSC for 64 bit is coming.

      bob,

it looks like he's using XP, but weren't there 64bit versions of that OS also?

        Cracker,

Where did you see XP? I couldn't see any indication of what OS he has.

On the other hand, he hasn't responded, I guess he is just busy.

              Shopstream my experience today.

              Hi,

...probably not much help to anyone here, though, I simply installed ShopStream Connect(SSC) on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine a few weeks ago and things worked fine. However today I've tried to install on another Windows 7 Ultimate machine and get reports of 'Adobe Acrobat 5 not found' error and install finishes unsuccessfully. Then, trying to install on a Windows XP-service pack 3 PC, with AVGFree11 either enabled or disabled, and SSC errors on install too. So, I'm not convinced this is a 64 bit 'OS' problem.

              Cheers Ian.

                More details on this problem

Hi again - this is a colleague of parker's. Ok - the Windows is XP 32 bit, 512mb Ram. DotNet FX 2 SP2 is installed. Since the problem started, the system has been wiped and reinstalled to try and fix the problem. Shopstream installs fine, but the error occurs every time we try to start the program. I've attached a screenshot of the 'details' part of what Windows wants to send from the error. The crash appears to be happening in shopstreamconnect.exe. Oh, we have 2 machines, both XP 32 bit, and the error is happening on both.

                      Any updates on this issue

Running in to the same issue as Parker. SSC installs fine, but won't run. Did anybody get this to work with Windows XP? Running Windows XP SP3 with Microsoft.NET Framework 2 SP2. Intel Core Duo Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD with plenty of free space, has CD/DVD combo, USB 2.0, IE8, Adobe Reader 9 and an internet connection. Installed it as the admin user.

I didn't see anything in the install directions that indicated that the Windows Firewall needed to be changed or the like. We also have XP Pro SP3 installed. We also have McAfee 8.7.0 Enterprise installed. I checked the McAfee log and could not find anything that was being blocked from running by McAfee. Did you have to have the scan tool attached to launch the SSC initially? This is a new install.

                            Ssc

Will try running Windows updates on it and a reinstall. The worst it can do is not fix the problem..

                              Ssc

I did turn my Virus Checker off on Both Installs. I did not need to have my scanner attached at any time of installing SSC. Like you said worst that can happen is it won't work and you will be updated on XP..Xp Pro Service pack 3 32 bit
