Witsend Made it to level 2! Looks like you are on your way to becoming famous

Default P0087 2011 Infiniti QX56 (low hi side fuel pressure

The high pressure fuel pump works but it seems to be just a little below the commanded value. It is a 5.6L V8 with only 121K and I didn't see a TSB listed in older repair software version. Googling issue, I only found one thing about timing chain rubbing against and damaging an oil jet that normally lubes the eccentric on the end of the camshaft and the lifter for the high pressure fuel pump , and they failed. Any Nissan / Infiniti pros can confirm that this is a common issue.Sorry for the cheapo scanner pid view but the expensive scanner read fuel pressure in M- Pascals and the cheapo one read in psi that I am used to.
