There customer support is terrible! Played with it a little bit but it wasnt up to the task for japanes and amarican. Also I dont like how you have to buy different versions of coverage, could end up costing a fortune.

Also tried to use on the same porsche. Only thing it had coverage was basic engine data. 911 system was more but still seemed Very limited... We Have a BMW/MERCEDES guy next shop over and he uses a windows bassed progam that is way better for that stuff. He even looked at the launch and agreed. Our mac tools guy is still trying to unload one that he was forced to take back. Launch supposedly fixed it with a new unit

Porsche unfortunitly won't release any thing else for there other systems. Durametric is the only company to cover them specificly. and I guesss you can now code modules with them too!

Durametric software and tools for Porsche automotive diagnostics. Windows software allows you to read and reset trouble codes stored in your Porsche.

I dont do a whole lot of euro so I am not sure what else is up to the task. I just know I wasnt happy with the launch

To be fair to the Launch product I am not sure what version of software was on the tool I attempted to use a few weeks back. Vs what there lateset update might be.

That is why i put the link up kid, it shows very specific coverage for all vehicles. I already checked on Porche and it seems you may have missed many updates if you havent checked in awhile. I have been studying the coverage recently. I still dont see who has better coverage for 3 grand. Snap on does a great job esp w/ euro., but i can no longer wait for ALL modules coverage on Volvo, Saab, Suzuki, and Jaguar. Its costing me customers.

Actually I just recieved My new SO tools with 10.4 BTW 11.2 Is about to be released in march and they say it will cover Volvo's

As far as launch and there coverage, I had a discussion with another Memeber that owns one and I see Launch has also steped up there game in coverage. The Launch tool I tried to borrow was not up to date and was also not mine.

At this time I would rather buy the Durametric Cable and software If I have to do any porsche stuff. At least there software updates are free.

Hey Kidd, another sunny day in Cali Huh? Hope you get sunburned My brother lives in Irvine and is on the TruSpeed race team (just happens to be Porches). We are getting buried in snow, so is good day for forums!
Regarding Volvo, you are correct. But it will only be doing engine, trans, ABS, and SRS. Although i have been waiting for this to happen forever, and am pleased they have made the efffort, at the risk of sounding ungrateful, that only takes care of 1/4 of the modules in these cars.
Recently, i had to send one of my best customers to Volvo dealer to diagnose issue with driver's seat. Its embarrasing to admit that i can diagnose his powertrain but not the seat that keeps crushing him against the steering wheel.

Yes that does suck! Sounds like a safety issue that Volvo should eat. If you get something else ( Another Tool ) soon let us know how well it works. I rarely see Volvo's around here but maybe that's because there are 2 specialist near by. Or maybe they just aren't that popular in my particular area.
