There are plenty of modules that need to be programmed to work when a new one is installed. Door modules, power window modules etc. Sometimes they just have to be programmed at the Dealer (like when access to their dealer network is required), but often it's just a matter of initializing the module. For those vehicles there is no technical reason that the Snap-on scanners can't do it. This is an area where the SO scanner can improve, but I need everyones help in identifying specific cases.
So, please reply here with any modules that you've come across that needed to be programmed after being installed. Want to help things go smoothly? Please include the first 10 digits of the VIN, and the specific module that needs to be programmed!
Any help greatly appreciated.
