Missing Data Parameters 2011 Ram Diesel

    Good Day Techs.

I'm working on a 2011 Ram 2500 with Cummins Diesel VIN 3D7UT2CL5BG557081 and it has several codes related to the rear O2 sensor, P2A01, P013A and P2771. I have replaced the sensor but noted the troubleshooter says to monitor percent O2 on several deceleration events yet those data parameters are not available in any of the data list. Only reference to O2 sensors is the status of the heaters. Is this an oversight on Snap-On's part?

Think you can monitor O2 switching voltage and see rich /lean switch, maybe even Cat converter temp but kind of think actual o2 percent would still require using an old school exhaust analyzer.

I can get you some more insight regarding this issue. Have you tried asking this question in the SureTrack Community yet?

That text is from a Chrysler TSB referring to that DTC. I show O2 sensor 1 and 2 % PIDs in the list for those trucks. For some reason it may not be available on the truck you are working on. PID availability is dynamic and differ based on software version in the vehicles controller so the scanners are programmed with master lists to show any available ones.

          O2 Pids

working on an 07 Cummins today with P0131 and I see O2 pids listed in the Engine data list as Measured Cat O2 inlet % and Measured Cat O2 Outlet %. So maybe it was there on the 11 and I missed it. On this vehicle both pids are static at 7.05032682% and don't seem to change??

VIN on this vehicle if interested is 3D7KS28A47G798445

            2011 Ram 2500 6.7 O2 Parameters Missing

Well this same 2011 Ram 2500 6.7 diesel is back with the P2271 B1S2 Biased Rich code. VIN number is 3D7UT2CL5BG557081. I know there is a TSB on the O2 sensor harness modification but as I mentioned when I started this thread the bulletin tells you to monitor O2% on several deceleration events. The O2% pids are not in the list but they were back in 2013 when I scanned this same truck for another problem. I had saved data recordings back in 2013 and now again in 2017 and the O2% pids are missing now. I'm am currently running 17.2. This truck has not been to the dealer, been reflashed and is not tuned. See the screen captures from 2013 dta list and 2017 data list.
