    "Dica Técnica" Teste do catalisador

1 test with the car with working temperature. The test should be done by the probe 2.
2-a probe detects voltage around 1V.
3- accelerate the car at 1500 rpm, 2500 and 3000 rpm and observe the drop in voltage. If the voltage drop catalyst is ok.

2- How to test the catalyst
Accelerate the car at 3000 rpm for quick heating of the probe.
Check the temperature in the catalyst output with heated car. The outlet temperature must be greater than the inlet temperature with a maximum difference of 10 degrees.

just drag your curser over the text with the right button down on your mouse, right click, copy and paste into google translate. Or just high light the text and right click and "translate with bing" if using internet explorer.

Testing a Catalytic converter, I was taught that there should be 100-degrees Fahrenheit difference between the inlet catalyst temperature and the outlet catalyst temperature.

That doesn't mean it's working completely properly though. It just means that it is "lighting off" and trying to do something. It's a basic start test though.
If it isn't changing temperature after a road load drive test it's not doing much of anything.
