    SSC & XP Mode

Yes I know, SSC won’t work with Windows 7 64 bit. I found this out the hard way.
    To quote Snap-On: System Requirements: Windows XP®, Windows Vista® or Windows® 7.
You don’t find out about the 64/32 thing until you start downloading and find out you bought the wrong computer. So I checked out the Forums and Mr. Senior Member Orevin says “If you have Windows 7 Professional, you will be able to run SSC in XP mode.” And was nice enough to leave Microsoft links to do just that. So…. I upgraded my Windows 7 64 bit to Windows 7 Professional, downloaded XP mode and virtual machine. I followed all the bouncing balls and SSC will still not download.
Does anyone out there know if this works?? Am I doing something wrong??

You cannot install SSC or the download doesn't work?

He is asking "You are not able to actually download, OR you can NOT INSTALL" SSC. We assume you are in an XP virtual machine when this happens?

Yes, I'm sure it works in XP mode:

Make sure to have Microsoft.Net 2.0 installed in XP mode.

              Hello automaint,

I downloaded the SSC program in Windows 7 - 64 bit OS and the switched to XP mode to install.

I did not have any problems.

                It Works

OK it works now. Thank You All for your help. I did have to side track for .net framework 2.0 and even Adobe Reader, it doesn’t mater if you already have it, you have do it all over for XP Mode.
Now I just have to learn how to use it.

                Thank You
                Tim
