Snap on pro link I.Q. " no ecms detected" error

    I have a 2011 snap on pro link I.Q. E188001 model.

Having a "no ecms detected" error message when using the on board diagnostic systems 2 and using a standard PBD2 plug and trying to read the ecm codes on a 2006 chrysler 300,

I've used identical scanners on this same vehicle without issue, but this scanner seems to be stubborn.

Anyone know how I could rectify this issue to get the scanner reading the ecms again?

Did it read that particular vehicle before? There are lots of OBD2 vehicles that the OBD2 software won't work on. I know my iQ wouldn't talk to my Nissan Altima or my Subaru Forrester.
If reading some vehicles with OBD2 software is the only problem, then there's nothing broken. That's the way they are.
