    Quick MGT2500 Question

Trying to chase a P1345 code in my '99Tahoe. Im trying to read Cam Retard offset. A neighbor lent me his MGT2500 hooked up the scanner, raised RPM above 1000 and CMP registers as -45! Problem is when I shut engine down and turn distributor (doesn't matter how far and which way), reconnect the scan tool CMP registers the same -45. All the other parameters change. Does this parameter need to be cleared? If so how is this accomplished.

It sounds like it is very far off. Follow the timing procedure for replacing the distributor. That should get you close, then use the scanner to get the timing to 0.
There is no reset procedure. Just hold above 1500 or so and it updates.

Did you remove the distributor on this vehicle?
