Default Error Opening File - Scanner Data Viewer

When I highlight a file with LCM to watch the video and it goes to the Scanner Data Viewer, I get the "Error Opening File" in the middle of the black screen. What is happening? Do I need to change the file types of LCM?
When I highlight a file with BMP it goes down to the right hand corner of the screen and shows me the screen shot that I took just fine.
I'm totally new to this. Has this happened to anyone else before? If so what did you do to fix it so that I can watch the movies I took? Thanks
