    2014 F350 6.4L Reductant Injector Cleaning

    Can we look into adding Reductant Injector Cleaning to funtional tests?

    Ford has a GSB for the IDS that with self clean the DEF Injector.

    2011-2016 6.4L diesels

    Truck I'm working on has DTC P208E

    Ill report this and suggest the test be added, you can run the scr system empting functional test a few time to fire the injector. this will help and I have had some success. some of them you simple need to remove and physically clean.

        There should also be a dosing measurement test where the injector runs for specified amount of time and the amount of fluid expelled is measured. This is part of the catalyst efficiency and DEF fluid quality test procedures. This is for the 6.7 Ford Power Strokes 2011 and on.

          As far as can tell the SCR empty test only opens the injector and does not cycle the injector. It also opens the purge valve in the tank so no fluid is expelled from the injector during the test.

            Guess in that case to Skin the Cat , it Sounds like you'll also need to back probe the ground side of the injector connector and run a jumper to ground so it activates the SCR injector and hope that the the SCR empty test doesn't get aborted if the PCM don't like what you're doing.
