    Hi Mike,

Now you have got the blink codes from the ECM, you need to look up the data in a code manual to compare to, then you will know which circuits to carry out any investigations to.

      SRS Light

      Hi Mike,

The SRS code that you have is code 1-2 (one long flash and two fast flash), Increased resistance in the driver's airbag inflator.
A common place is a damaged cable reel in the steering wheel, has any work has been done in that area, or power steering rack work.

To erase the DTC, you need a SCS connector (Honda part # 07PAZ-0010100), then locate the MES connector(Memory Earase Signal) behind the driver's side fuse box, there is a 2-pin Yellow connector in an empty hole.

      1. Make sure the ignition is OFF.
      2. connect the SCS connector to the MES connector.
      3. Turn the ignition switch ON(ll).
      4. The SRS indicator light comes ON for about 6 seconds and then goes OFF. As soon as the light goes OFF, Remove the SCS connector from the MES connector.
      5. The SRS indicator light comes ON again. As soon as the light comes back ON, Reconnect the SCS connector to the MES connector.
      6. The SCS indicator light goes OFF. As soon as the light goes OFF, Remove the SCS connector from the MES connector.
      7. The SRS indicator light indicates that the Memory is erased by blinking 2 times.
      8. Trun the ignition OFF, and wait 10 seconds.

Then restart the car and see if the SRS light goes OFF after 6 seconds if it does it means you had an intermittent failure or if it comes back ON it means you have a hard code(failure).

      Hope this help's you.

      Carlos.
