    Ignition Scope

My snapon man came in the other day and talking about the new verdik. He told me it did not have ignition scope. He said that techs were not useing ignition part of the scope any more. I told him I used mine 3-4 times all ready this week. Maybe I am getting old but I used ignition scope from day one. I just wanted know if techs are not using that part of the scope. I think a lot of techs do not know how to use ignition part of scope. I like here what you guys think.

    ignition scope

I use the ignition scope a lot also. It's your window into a cylinder when there is a misfire or driveability problem. I hope they don't decide to take it out of the Modis or the Verus because some people don't use it or know how to use it.

Hmmm. I think the same way you do. When I had my Vantage Pro I used the Scope portion of that more than The rest. It could have been that I liked it because of old habits but it certainly helped me out lots on Ignition electrical problems. Maybe Snap on thinks there will be no Primary or secondary reason to use the scope or maybe the information is wrong. I sure hope so. Keep Smiling Austin

        ignition scope

i hope your snap on man was wrong; i use my ignition scope 3 to 4 times a week. it may be because very few techs order any of the secondary coil on plug ignition adapters. i have just about all of them. the sia 2000 is to pricey ($1500) for just testing dis ignitions. coil on plug adapters are not included. i hope i dont have to search for another brand of ignition tools.

ONE HOUR AFTER I WROTE THE ABOVE STATEMENT
i just read the brochure for the verdict and it does not have an ignition scope. usually when a new scanner comes out snap on gets rid of an older one. maybe this time the verdict is an addition to the other tools and none of them are being discontinued.
