Customer came in to have water pump replaced but needs an AC compressor, the clutch was disconnected and the pulley bearing was ready to lock up. Customer did not want to replace the AC compressor, and a AC delete pulley is not available for the application.
O'reilley's auto parts listed the AC pulley bearing in stock, so I went and got part, then unbolted the AC compressor from the bracket and moved it down and rearward , tilted down with hoses still attached . I removed the clutch hub and pulley and found out the bearing I picked up was too big, and that I could not locate correct size replacement clutch pulley bearing so it looked like i was going to have to look for a used compressor, but while searching I found something on a forum where someone got by with a shorter belt and drove the vehicle over 9000 miles without issues before he decided to replace the compressor.
I got the shorter belt and lucked out salvaging the water pump and front wheel hub assembly jobs it came in for.
