Seems like the Car Companies, Tool Manufacturers, and Chemical Makers, and maybe even the EPA are in Bed Together scheming and Brain Storming new ways to Fleece Car owners to have to go to dealer as long as possible and eventually cash grab the aftermarket repair techs for the special equipment.
The Fleecing just never ends

I've compared a few vehicles,and the ones I've checked take the same amount of refrigerant,so maybe a conversion will be possible.I guess we'll see what unfolds.The place where I buy refrigerant tells me that R1234yf will be $1000 for a 20lb bottle.

1. the automakers will build the cars so they will not start and / or run without a full charge of r1234yf
and / or

At that price, I don't see too many people fixing their air conditioners if they have the r1234yf.
