    Snap on solus pro update

Hi there I'm new to this forum and have joined as I've recently purchased a snap on solus pro with version 10.4, does anyone know what it would cost to get it updated to the latest version?

    yep..lots of money
you will need to pay for the latest update and the one previous to that, so , you will probably be looking at a bill of around 800 - 900 quid. unless you have a dealer who can cut you a deal somehow.

not sure what the price is, but snappy is offering a "software value plan" that might interest you.

You should never have to pay for a skipped update on a Snap-on Scanner. The only thing remotely close to that is with the original Solus. If you bought consecutive updates, there was a discount. If not, you bought the update at full price. The Solus-Pro wasn't like that as far as I've ever known. Updating from 10.4 or 11.4 would be the same price.

List price in the US Market can be found here:

            Update cost

Joe, All Snap-on software upgrades for Verus, Verdict, Modis, Solus Pro, Solus Ultra, and Solus are sold at the discounted rate to customers who update in sequence (loyalty status). Customers who have skipped on or more updates are charged the regular retail price.

from 10.4 to 11 then yes..just one price but from 10 to the new 12 theres one inbetween which has been missed so will need to be paid for..unless overseas users get some special treatment where we dont.lol

My machine was on 10.4, i missed 11.2 & 11.4, so as long as i upgraded with 12.2, i would not be paying the slap on the wrist capped fee at about £800, if i waited till 12.4 - then i would have to of paid the higher price again to come up to date.

There are other machines out there with upgrade cost for 12months at £350+vat , and the updates can be as many as 2 - 20 per day as they are found etc, and alos there may be none for about 1 - 2 weeks, then you get the updates, corrections aswell, these can be corrected when found and get corrected software, something we dont get from snap on until the next software release.
