vaux fuel pump coding on a s'pro?

HI all, as the tittle says, just had a call, the gent is removing his engine and fitting a replacement engine, which he has seen running, and has been informed he needs to code the fuel pump ? to his car, not done this before, does this have to be done?, im under the impression it is like for like engine Y20DTH, i suggested to him, to acquire the ecu to match.

Car is a vaux zafira 53 plate taking out a Y20DTH nad fitting another Y20DTH.

So assuming the pump needs coding to his car, or he has to acquire the matching ecu that was with the donor car/engine, can the solus pro on 12.2 code fuel pumps, rather than go out and plug in and find that the pro hasnt got the facility.

Views and comments appreaited, cheers andy

am not 100% sure andy but im certain the pump and/ or engine ecu needs to be reset before and after replacing pump from both vehicles.
i wouldnt trust the snappy to allow pump reconfiguration either going off other vehicles in the vauxhall range where coding of certain modules also need to be done to others modules on the vehicle which arent covered in its special functions.
do you still have johns number?? if so give him a call as he may point you in the direction of what is needed to be done and what tools you will need to do it,or if you have someone local and friendly at a vauxhall dealer who could help.
im pretty sure the engine ecu will be coded to other modules on the vehicle also if it is taken from the donor vehicle..if the full car is still available then it will be possible to swap everything over...keys,reader coil, engine ecu, body module, instrument cluster.
