Default Nissan Is So Slow

About scanning Nissans. With the newer models by the time you do a vehicle identification, a systems call, and scan for all codes the vehicle has probably gone into battery saver mode and shut down before the process is complete. Since the battery saver mode seems to be a timed event it occurs even with a battery maintainer hooked up. Any way to speed up the scanning process in future updates. Is the slowness a scanner thing or vehicle thing ?

Interesting find. I have not really worked on any newer nissans myself.

2016 Nissan Titan with 5.0 Cummins. There is a function for the Rotary Turbine Control Valve Hysteresis test. How ever I do not see a function for the Rotary Turbine Control Valve Actuator Calibration. This step is necessary to complete the diagnostic for P226C and to complete the installation of a replacement turbo or turbo actuator.

2016 Hyundai Sonata with a 2.4. After replacing the E-CVVT assembly a relearn must be performed to reset the E-CVVT values. Currently I could not find the procedure in the SNAP On software 22.4. My other brand scanner did have this function.

2018 Ford Escape, there is no option to access the trailer control module for codes or data. My Autel does give me access. Common problem, signal lights flash fast because Trailer module senses a trailer is connected but the signal and brake lights are burned out. Without the Trailer Module data you would not know that it senses there's a trailer hooked up. The problem is a slight short to ground in the trailer light harness.

Default Ford bcm crash status reset

Recently had a Ford Transit Connect from the Body Shop that had an airbag event. After replacing the Air Bag Module I still had a code B1492 stored in the BCM. You can not clear this code with normal code clearing because it's more of a parameter reset. Currnetl Snap On does not offer this function. I found it on my Autel. It's in the airbag menu under functios and listed as BCM Crash Status Reset. I should mention that this code will occur after an airbag event in all similar models, Escape, Focus and Transit Connect 2011 through about 2020 and I have never been able to clear it with a Snap On scanner. Leaving this code in the module will disable some functions including a no start on some some models.
