![]() My friend has a Solus Edge EESC320 for his garage and the device uSD card seems to be corrupt. His local SnapOn rep has quit so he passed to me to see if I could resolve the issue for him.
1. With the SD card in that he gave me on power on the device cannot read the card and shows a window saying Continue or Retry. If you leave on this screen for a while it will go to a white windows with black squares on it and an orange dot. 2. Selecting continue goes to G13 Utilities page which clearly shows Mount uSD failed. On this page we have options "Connect to PC", "Format uSD" and "Prepare uSD for Recovery". Selecting "Connect to PC" gives "Mount uSD card failed". 3. I purchased a new uSD card went into the menu in 2 formatted the uSD and done Prepare uSD for recovery. 4. Now if I boot with the new card the device goes to "Service Menu" with one option "Utilities". 5. On selecting this my options are the same as 2. Connect to PC now works so this means I have a good uSD card now. 6. I have downloaded ShopStream Connect 20.4.10 and can see the SolusEdge as a drive on the left hand side. 7. I have tried update software then selecting the device. It connects and says it could not find any updates. 8. The files on my SolusEdge and filesizes are shown below. They all look suspiciously small. I am presuming I have recovered the device and need an actual firmware image to put on the SD so that it can be installed. Can anyone advise on what they think I need to do to get this device working? $ ls -alR .: total 20 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 1980 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Mar 5 2019 ../ -r--r--r-- 1 user 1049089 8697 Jan 1 2001 LICENSE.INI drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 SCANNER/ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 14 19:54 'System Volume Information'/ -r--r--r-- 1 user 1049089 100 Jan 1 2001 SYSTEM.BIN drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 USERDATA/ ./SCANNER: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 1980 ../ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 DATABASE/ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 SOFTWARE/ ./SCANNER/DATABASE: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ../ ./SCANNER/SOFTWARE: total 4 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ../ -r--r--r-- 1 user 1049089 3840 Jan 1 2001 INSTLDLX.BIN './System Volume Information': total 8 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 14 19:54 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 1980 ../ -rw-r--r-- 1 user 1049089 76 Jan 14 19:54 IndexerVolumeGuid -rw-r--r-- 1 user 1049089 12 Jan 14 19:54 WPSettings.dat ./USERDATA: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 2001 ./ drwxr-xr-x 1 user 1049089 0 Jan 1 1980 ../ |

![]() Hi,
Give it to your Snap on rep and tell him to go into Scanbay and do a device recovery operation Cheers |

![]() The problem is he doesn't have a local SnapOn rep now as they quit. Is there any other way? I guess he could contact SnapOn UK and they could hopefully give him and address to post it to get it recovered.
